Nobel Medical College Teaching Hospital and Research Center P. Ltd, established in 2005, is a Medical College of repute with a mandate to work towards developing socially responsible and competent medical doctors. Striving continuously it has been trying to meet the health needs of the eastern region of Nepal at the primary, secondary and tertiary levels. This College has been visualized as a self-governing, self-reliant medical school under the renowned Kathmandu University recognized by the Nepal Medical Council attracting students and teachers from India and Nepal. The College is aptly named after Alfred Nobel, the great Swedish scientist, and has been visionary in medical science innovations in the academic, research and service components. This College is proposed to be registered with the World Directory of Medical Schools under WHO. The medical education at NMCTH started in 2005 with the intake of the first batch of MBBS students with community oriented medical education thus producing socially accountable doctors for the community.
